English speaking Junior Logistics Specialist

A brand new opportunity in the medical appliances industry has occurred for a fluent English speaker to join our client as a Junior Logistics specialist. Our client is one of the leading providers of ultrasound appliances and is represented by 14 subsidiaries and a global distribution network in over 100 countries. Furthermore, you will be working in a highly motivated and international team, which is eager to welcome you as their new team member!
The contract starts as a fixed term of 7 months, which will then be extended with the added potential for the extension to become a permanent contract.

After an extensive training period on the services and products (3 Months), you will be able to:

• Serve as the primary point-of-contact for resolving freight issues including damage/loss claims and import/export clearance issues
• Manage stock levels using planning tools such as DEMS
• Assure inventory accuracy by conducting daily cycle counts
• Process freight cost quotes for large shipments

About you:

You are a great communicator, have knowledge of System Breakdowns and Hierarchical Structure Codes, a fast learner and capable of working with a minimum amount of supervision. Furthermore, you are a people person who is pro-active, paired with good decision making skills and staying calm under pressure.

Profile:

• You have a studied in the field of Logistics, preferably in an international setting;
• You are fluent in English and another European language (Dutch is a plus but not a must)
• It is a big plus if you have experience with electro mechanical devices
• You have knowledge of different applications, including MS Office and systems like SAP and asset management systems
